I participated in my first experiential art event in 2014; the New York City Idiotarod. For the first time, I felt like I had the perfect outlet for my interest in costumes, building, and performing to all work together. I went on to lead Idiotarod teams in many subsequent years (recently to victory!) and regularly participate in other experiential art events.
Like many people, in 2020 I found myself with the time and space to pursue a more individual relationship with art. I created a series of sculptures using an armature-and-fabric technique my best friend and I developed for Idiotarod projects. I have continued working on these smaller-scale projects, which bring me great joy.
